Holala de Djaya Van Hoefflaecken’s Cocó

named after her mother Djaya de Besos ‘Holala what is to become of her….’

 thanks to COVID waited for, for a long time
instead of from mum’s first litter, from her third and final litter

Finally a Cocódotje from our seventh generation that is to stay
but no : she wasn’t born as nr 7 out of 9
she was born as puppy nr 3 and as female nr 1
and she is a sister to :

Hamigo de Djaya – Hidalgo de Djaya – Honar de Djaya – Hyale de Djaya – Himar de Djaya –
Hera de Djaya – Hocho de Djaya – Hermosa de Djaya

 That one was to stay this time, wasn’t an easy decision – and why did we decide to keep her…….

4 days before the birth we had to let go her grandma – our deeply loved I Besos di Ròsa …….
So our minds weren’t set on thinking about keeping a puppy

But as with us it is a custom to from the first litter of a female keep a puppy from the next generation, and that due to COVID hadn’t been possible from the former two litters, so it had to be now
No matter how hard, even how against all feelings……
And how does one then decide which of the ladies is to stay……
Normally my dogs decide – by their behavior – which one is to stay
Now that no longer was possible :
– 15 year old, almost deaf and almost blind, great-grandma Ròsa Ke-sera kept aloof
– grandma I Besos di Ròsa we recently lost
– mum Djaya de Besos ofcourse liked end loved them all and
– auntie Hniña de Besos……wanted to stay the youngest of the family……………
What then to do?
Well, her littername was ‘Grijsje’- and she had a grey collar.
In the litter her grandma I Besos di Ròsa was born in, there also was a ‘Grijsje’ with a grey collar.
And thus we could complete the circle back to grandma I Besos di Ròsa……

As we this time had a lot of ‘foreignors’ in the litter, it took a while before having her to ourselves.
We meanwhile ofcoure did allow her some ‘private time’ with
her great-grandma Ròsa Ke-sera, her mum Djaya de Besos and her aunt Hniña de Besos
Oh,……how her grandma I Besos di Ròsa now was missed – how confronting

They meanwhile got well acquainted
Even though aunt Hniña de Besos no way finds it necessary for her to stay, she prefers to stay the youngest.
For her great-grandma Ròsa Ke-sera – 15, almost deaf and almostblind, she shows the greatest reapect.
Truely close she is with mum Djaya de Besos – who is extreemly happy being allowed to keep one.
It’s really funny to see that she eats and drinks in exactly the same way her mum in the beginning did.
She also is a mess maker just like her mum : all toys have to be out of the baskets.
One then finds them spread all over the place
Different to her mum Djaya however, she is a real wrecker

Holala also has what we call ‘her own specialty….her’s is a really special one!
This girl a crazy about tooth brushing!
Twice a day you can find her in the bathroom, waiting for her turn
And no, for her no paste with a ‘doggy taste’, no she goes for the real stuff : human tooth paste
Silly girl!

Well, what now, what will it be……
Will she become a beauty, just like the generations before her…….
Will we also with her participate in shows, and when yes : how will that be…..
Is she going to be the little star of the 7th generation…….

We’ll see, for starters she needs time to grow up
When she does as well as the others before her – that then is another gtft

When we in spring were in Spain, and her mum Djaya de Besos there for the first time showed as a veteran
She was allowed to try as a puppy
Well, she didn’t like it at all!!!
She however did receive a very positive review

Well, what is becoming out of her……
For one : the name ‘Holala’ could not have been better chosen! Really!
The lady is a little wrecker in ‘optima forma’.
To us something very unusual.
Something I in no way am prepared for, so I am always to late in stoppping her.
Chewing bars from the baby-carbench, chewing pieces out of the undertray of the showbench,
getting rid of the handles and zippers of my handbag, chewing of appr. 5 cm of her collar, biting of
the noses, tails etc from the plush toys and then taking out the inside.
But best of all no doubt is taking of with mama’s ‘baby’> her so-adored Panda!
For, let’s be honest : what does one need a Panda for when there also is a Holala available……
   Our little dragon has many nicknames – not all of them nice – one being ‘Freule Drakensteijn;…..

For the rest the little girl has started participating in shows.
She does that truely good, that is : she receives extreemly good results.
Is even being selected for and placed in the Ring of Honor!
In no time – in the first 3 months possible –  she finished for the Junior titles in Belgium,
Germany, Luxembourg and International.
And also made German Junior Winner 2025, Euskadi Winner 2025
and Holland Cup Junior Winner 2025.
In The Netherlands and Spain the first points for the Junior titles  have also been awarded
In Waalwijk – NL she even won won her first ¼ Dutch point.
While her mum finished as a Veteran and  also made Grand Champion of The Netherlands.
That Holala gets this far simply is due to her quality and charm.
For showing how well she moves in walking a circle……no!
We can only hope that that will later on turn out better
Wait and see…..keep on training…..what else can one do…..

And then came the big day
For our little lady on 2025.10.01 celebrated Birtday nr 1!
With a delicious creamcake, and ofcourse there also was a present.
The cake ofcourse was enjoyed together with mum and auntie
